More preparation for "Week in the Life"
Three more days.
"Week in The Life" will be starting
on Monday, July 25th for the whole week.
*giddy*
My first preparation is the album
that I will be using,
you can check here if you missed the post.
Last night,
I just got the time to prepare the papers
for inside the album.
Had several time here and there
to pull out almost all of my stacks
and finally I made up my mind!
(yes, that's always the hardest part)
as the front page of each day.
So I made 7 pages of these
Between every pages of that,
is of course the page protectors
that I already had. The 6'x12' ones
And the 10'x12' ones
All in between that front page and
the page protectors, will also be
everything else I wish to save.
Brochure, pamphlet, my kids announcement
from school (Yes, they back to school on 27th
so it'll be included in the album. Yay!)
You can peek what I included last year here.
Now,
I had some thinking for quite some times.
I want to make all the pictures
for the album in Black&White tones
(or Sephia tones, I haven't decided)
It'll be challenging as for not all
the pictures will be great in BW/sephia tones.
But, it's good to go out of
comfort zones once in a while, right?
So I picked up some pattern papers here
that also in that tones.
Some are BW, some are sephia
They are from Meadow Lark My Mind's Eyes,
and many more not from stacks.
I trimmed them all the same size
to fit the page protectors,
so it'll be easily put like this later
along with all the photos.
Some of those papers are going with me
for the whole week, packed together with
a good journaling pen
(Uniball black 1.0 and Sharpie for me),
and may be some of these tags,
to make my mind catching up with a story,
whenever I need to journal on the road.
Of course the embellishment later
will not all be in black and white.
There must be colors here and there,
but I will be strictly choose the minimum.
Let's see what will be best.
Again,
please go to Ali Edwards's site to see
what she prepared, for her and for us,
to make the process of recording this
not go more complicated than it should.
Many scrappers that I know,
even good and talented scrappers,
went along happily with the process last year,
only to feel disappointed
that they didn't make it into a finished album.
I anticipate that with preparation needed,
and processing all the photos daily,
just like Ali preferred.
She gave us a link widget at her everyday post
that she will make next week,
encourage us to pick and share fast,
so we can print all the photos right away
even a day after the week is over.
That's good.
Very good.
Again, eliminate any over thinking
of stuff, technique, or anything else.
Just focus on the photos,
and the story you want to keep.
You and I will be fine.
See you soon.
This looks fantastic Ria, can't wait to see more!
