A VACATION

a VACATION is having nothing to do
and all day to do it in.
Robert Oben

Just back to the real world, and here, there is no such thing called 'having nothing to do'.Uhh.
Will post the pictures from my vacation with the kids soon, when my all day achievement was to get my kid's tummy fulled and nothing else to do better than took lots and lots of pictures. And I mean lots. You know, a scrapbooker mom's type of lots.
Happy Holidays...(again)....

a broken heart

Maybe not many matter could break my heart these days, but surely this one did.

Last night I heard the news that one of my staff had delivered her first baby, and this morning I rush to the hospital. Beside of she had to had caesarian procedure cause the baby is not in the right position to be born naturally, and had to be in the ICU for more than 40 hours cause her condition was so weak, the baby, a girl, was only 1,7 kilos.

How would this thing not break my heart?

I tried to be brave before entering the room 17 where she's been treated, only to realized that room 17 is named because there were 17 beds there, with 17 women in various age just giving birth, and 17 small baskets in the end of each bed, to hold their baby.
The room is in a mess.
There were six medical student that trying to help, three supervisors around the table in the middle that check everyone status, some of the moms are sitting down unpatiently, some of them are lying helpless and look so painful in the face like my staff is. And to top the situation, two babies start crying.

Oh, my heart,....my heart......damn.

I do brave thing though. I stay for an hour to pump up her spirit, tell her that her baby -even though has to be left out in the hospital for another 2 months until she gain a proper weight-will be just fine; talk to her mom to calm her cause she was so panic about the bill and told her not to worry I will help. An hour in that room when my heart scream to run out in the first five minutes. The result, my head got dizzy and spinning when walking out there.

How could I not be grateful with what I experienced when I gave birth, no matter what happened on those days, when I see what I saw today?

To all moms out there...
we are really something.

Must Read book for June

This is the most beautiful, honest and real book that I've ever read my whole life until now. I cried, laughed, stunned, touched, and amazed by how simple he described his feelings and his thoughts, yet how powerful the impact on my soul.

My friends, find 'A million little pieces' by James Frey at Periplus or Aksara...and have a blast!

School is out !

Yup ! School is out !
And I officially have two kids that screaming for holiday activities for the next 1,5 months! Pufffffff.... Talking about the quiet holiday passing by? Na ah ! Not anymore, ladies...
So I have to put my thinking cap even tighter for the next 7 weeks, to make sure that my kids are not bored, and also to make sure that all my activities still can take place (may be in slower mode, yeah, sure.. and embrace any interruption, like there are suddenly two kids running and screaming at my office, with the eyes of acceptance and a big smile)...
Well, be brave all the moms out there!!!!...this too shall pass.... but for now, I found this adorable picture from print pattern that reminds me of how sweet school is....aaaahh....but not in another 7 weeks.....
HAPPY HOLIDAYS !

SCRAP-MARATHON

If you are not familiar with this word yet, I have to tell you that SCRAP-MARATHON is NOT related to the 'running' term what so ever, but only to the scrapping activity, much of laughter, bunch of goodies, too much fun and of course nonstop food (cause we have 2 pregnant ladies in the team and 1 lady who still give breast-feeding..and of course the baby and all the stuff and staf are coming too....:-)). The marathon term is used for the time issue here, from 5 - 8 June(yes, that is 4 days) from 09.00 am - 09.00 pm! NONSTOP! Phew..
So, here we were...the 8 ladies in the team...cooked up some juicy new technique, tips and tricks...make interesting and fresh display for you to enjoy...and despite all the juggling problems at home and at work(sick kid, sick mother in law, some invitation, kid's test on Monday, report cards for 16 students that need to be fulfilled soon...oh,boy) we survive this SCRAP-MARATHON !

Here are the short story of what happened:

This is day one....when we were still fresh and have big smiles....still looking at the chipboard and rub-ons with sparkling eyes....

Look at the mess on our desk on day two............

And it looks like just being hit badly by hurricane...we even can't find our scissor....uhhh....
This is day three..when Dhani had to go home because her son was sick and had to go to hospital (poor kid..and poor mom....:-)) and Sisi had to go also because her mother in law was sick too. But Claudine and Caroline were join with us already and scrap with full speed!Yahoooo!!Good girls!

When some were seriously making some scrapping decisions :

Some were seriously having fun..... LOL !

So, here were inside peek for what we cooked up :

And at day four, we rush for some title-making and quick check on everything before we wrapped it all up. Of course, there is still time left to pose (exhaustedly) after we clean the table (in slow motion, yes)....
So, that's all, folks! Left the detail of what happened to us..(trust me, you better not to know everything)...but you surely could enjoy our display at all SCRAPKING store begin today.
Thank you to Ina, Sisi, Caroline, Claudine, Dhani, Tiara and Titin for your creative and amazing talents! Hope you all girls were had fun as much as I did!
