Week in the Life 2011 - Day 5

I hope you will go out
and let stories happen to you,
and that you will work them,
water them with your blood
and tears and laughter
till they bloom,
till you yourself burst into bloom.
-Clarissa P.Estes-

Stories. Stories. Stories.
Before you can make any stories happen,
you get to start with breakfast!
Yes.
Here is Adam, eating cereal without milk
cause he doesn't like watery cereal,
and he always brings down his sleep companion,
'Emeng' (means the cat),
when he gets up.

Wait,
that's already one story.
*chuckle*

The news from last night's soccer game.

Off to work early.
Finishing up the decoration work
for Kartika Sari beverages counter
at Dago street.

Am glad with the result.
And get this nice reflection on the back mirror
when I tidy up.

Preparing tomorrow class's instruction sheet
at the copy center.

And I've to buy a NIV bible for Adam
so I go to the book store.

Wait.
I have to shot this.
Today (Yeah, TODAY!) the Harry Potter movie
is premiere here in Indonesia
(FINALLY!)
Sadly, for me, the soonest chance to see it
may be Sunday night with Audy.
So, wait for me, Harry.

Only in Bandung, my hometown,
you will find this.

And I have my brunch.

The kids come home from school
and have Mandarin's lesson at home.

Look at this sad face waiting for Nadea
to take her for a walk.

After dinner,
the kids back to their room and have fun
with the Big Shot machine and all the dies.

I have a guest coming from Jakarta tonight
so I've to cut this post now.

Hope your stories today are amazing too.

Week in the Life 2011 - Day 4

The unthankful heart discovers no mercies;
but let the thankful heart
sweep through the day and,
as magnet finds the iron,
so it will find,
in every hour,
some heavenly blessings.
-Henry Ward Beecher-

My day four starts with sending the kids
to school, and off to the market
for 'jar hunting mission'
See those beautiful jars lining up?
I need them for my decoration work.
Sweet.

At the corner,
cannot pass by without taking picture of
this old man selling what we here
called 'bandros'.
Delicious simple warm cake.
Always bring me back to childhood memories
whenever I smell ones.

Pass by a small homey bakery
that sells 'healthy bread'
Pick up some banana muffin for tomorrow.

Then, office.
Next week, the fasting month is beginning here,
so, like always,
my gift wrapping business has to be ready
with boxes for hampers,
baskets, ketupat, and ribbons.
Yeah, busy making these at the office.

Invitation for lunch today from mom's group,
(I had this group gather once a month
for almost 7 years now! Such blessing)
at one new restaurant in town,
called Le Marly at Citarum street.
Turn out, this new place has AMAZING decor!
Look!

So homey....
and the food are yummy too!
I'll be back for sure with my family.
Back to the office again,
and had this typical traffic jam
on the way home.
No worries,
embrace the traffic jam with some nap,
or twitter!
(of course I am not driving! LOL)

Coming home to this view

and to this light,
this beautiful light...

Before dinner,
I manage to make these simple canvas
covering with pattern papers using gel medium
for tomorrow decoration work.

Adam is going to make a birthday card
for his daddy next month,
but,
while the soccer game on TV was on,
 he is totally leaving it.
Like this.

 The game is really exciting,
our country Indonesia vs Turkmenistan.
While he is watching,
I'm making instruction sheets
for my class this Saturday,
at the dinner table near by,
and he keeps calling me.
"Mom, come here!"
"Mom, see! Our keeper is so good!"
"Mom, come on!"
And he explains the gol to me,
like this

And when the opponent made the gol,
this is his expression.
He said,"Oooh, come ooon!!!"

Many precious things happen today
in only a split seconds.
Some blurry seconds.
But I love it.
Super love it.
If I'm not in the 'Week in The Life' project,
my camera will be far away from my reach
and those moments go un-recorded.

And for that simple reason alone,
I go to sleep with big smile.

Oh,
and our country wins!
go INDONESIA!!

Night night you.

Week in the Life 2011 - Day 3

Teaching kids to count is fine,
but teaching them what counts
is best.
-unknown-

Back to school's day is always fun,
and hectic,
and exciting,
but mostly fun.
They knew the rules,
always pose for mommy before going.
*Yahaaa...*

This year I have this sixth grade girl
(yes, yes, yes, I can't believe myself)

And this young man is going to second grade.

More picture, Adam?
*Ahem*
Noooooooo.....

At the class :

And just like that,
 mommy's life back to normal!
*Phew*
Back to the office.

New member in the office.
Audy thought the sound of bird chirping
will be relaxing at the office,
so here she is.

My order finally arrive from Jakarta's store!
*Wohooo...
Can't wait to play with new Golden paints
beeswax and foil tapes.

Lunch menu today is gudeg,
a javanese meal.

Then rush to teach a private scrapbook class.
A finished project always brings joy.

Stopping by the bakery on the way home.

Then, finally,
after two days waiting for my husband
to come home from out-of-town's work,
I can have this shot.

This is my and my son's fav time of the day.
Story telling.
This week we read from 'Dongeng Nusantara'
cause I want Adam to know more stories
from Indonesian culture.
Tonight is "Keong Emas" story,
and Audy got this amazing pic of my hand
imitating the snail (keong).
Really heart this one.

Hope your day 3 is full of fun too!
See you tomorrow.
