Rocket Age project - finished

Working on self-project
is always more liberating,
although the time spent may take forever.
*Sigh*

This 'Rocket Age' project was turn into
two parts of the making period.
The first part is to alter the round can,
which process you can see
in this post here.

And the second part is now.
To make the round album to put inside.

It's all about Adam's, my son, exploration
to outer space, alien, space ship, etc,
that he most loves.
It will be so interesting!

Let's take the album out..

Basically, I'm not very fond of the round shape
for an album. But since the can was round,
and most of the paper were contain round objects
(planets, sun, meteors) and also the orbit,
so, woalaa... round album it is.

Pages inside :

On page two, I made a swirl
(also from round base paper)
to spread across two pages.

I love how it turn out looks like an orbit,
and the plane is flying out through it.
Want to make it more dramatic,
but the difficulty when the album closed
stopped me at this point.

Only two pages spread like these
already make the album bulky enough,
so I go easy with the pop up things
on the back of it.

Back pages :

To open the mini album:

The rubber charm (to the moon)
was used for holding the folded papers.
And this red clip also help

This is how when the folded papers open.

All empty spaces paper will be loaded with
Adam's photos soon.
(Don't force me to define "soon", eh)
And while waiting,
don't forget the last page's message here
I write especially for my son :

Don't get teary now.
I finished the album joyfully
remembering all the good time recorded.

The album is happily go back inside the can too.

Thank you so so much for coming
and hope you enjoy this project of mine.

And the surprise?
As a part of spreading the joy,
by the end of this month,
I'll pick one person randomly
from all who leave comment below this post
to receive a very special gift from me.
So,
do leave your comment, okay?
And yes, I'll ship internationally.
*wink*

Now,
your captain is signing off.

Surabaya's workshops on March 1&2, 2012

I was bringing these two projects
-that I made for Made With Love Indonesia-
for Surabaya's scrappers few days ago.

It's quite a while to wait for finally
bringing these workshops there,
and there were suppose to be more exciting
(and of course, hectic
with Alice Wahyuni's workshops too,
but, she got chicken pox at the day
just before we were leaving,
so her classes were canceled.
Dang.
We planned this trip for so long,
then this thing happened.*hiks*
*smooch you, dear...get well soon*

Here are the Day-One-Class' pictures

The workshop extended until pass 9 pm,
all exhausted
and all forgot to take group's picture!
Oh, swell.
But we had fun that night,
including late dinner at Bakerzin
one floor up the workshop's area.

The next day,
my second project taken the morning shift,
so we start at 10 am.

Here are the Day-Two-Class' pictures

No one stopped at 2pm as the time given.
All were eager to finish the album,
and we stop the workshop at 4pm,
without lunch!
Talking about scrapping time as
an effective diet therapy! LOL.

And, we remembered to take that
group's picture in front of the store,
before we all leave and get a decent rest.

I really enjoyed my time at Surabaya,
with all advanced scrappers that I met before
or the ones that I just meet.
You all are fabulously talented!
Hope I can come back soon
and share more projects with you!
*hugsss you all*

Last but not least,
Spending the last night at Surabaya,
taking Paramita who helped me
with everything during workshops
include taking almost all these
beautiful pictures, to Eat&Eat.
Irene, one of MWL's Surabaya DT,
offer a ride and join us there.
Thank you, Irene!
Oh, what a full night!

Until then, Surabaya!
I'll be back.
