Private intermediate scrapbook class - travel album

 Few days ago,
another private class at Bandung,
requested weeks before
by a dear friend of mine,
for her and couple of her friends.

This travel's album
(w/Cosmo Cricket's Joy Ride series)
is for intermediate scrappers,
which begin to span their materials
beyond papers and glue.
Some of you at Jakarta
already got the tips & techniques
from my classes months before.

We had fun!
And I was glad to meet them,
many new talented scrappers..
Thank you all for joining!

Sorry,
I cannot post my album now
since my pics from last trip
haven't been edited and printed yet.
*sigh*
My hands are still full with
ribbons to make
for the Idul Fitri's hampers...

Additional note :

I just came back and got more Joy Ride's papers
to make a few more album kits like this.
So if you are interested to purchase the kits
or making other small private class for this album,
just drop me a line.

Thank you.

38 things we love about you

Yesterday my husband turned 38.
And this year,
instead of giving him
ordinary b'day card,
me and the kids prepared
these little love notes filled with
38 things we love about him.

and we hung them in the living room
after keep it a secret
for a few days.
(It's hard for the kids. LOL)

Of course,
he was happy to read these
simple but meaningful notes...

And this particular one
made my heart melt
soon after my boy done writing it.

Wouldn't you?

Well.
Here he was,
(standing on the left side)
among his best buddies who came
to enjoy his cooking last night.
He was tired
but really happy all day.

Here here
to another 38 years and more,hun..
we all glad to add one more thing
we are grateful for about you
each year
to the lines.....

Cheers!

One thing that scares me in : August

Procrastination

It is the bad habit
of putting off until the day
after tomorrow
what should have been done
the day before yesterday.
-Napoleon Hill-

It really scares me
to be trapped
in procrastination mood,
yet
I am back there
again and again.

Now,
I tried to chunk lots of task into
a series of smaller tasks,
so I can get it done without
being overwhelmed.
Sometimes one email or phone call
will do justice.

And doing the least fav task first
among mountain of the others,
also do a lot of help,
well, at least for me.

Today,
I am finishing up cover album
for next class.
Not yet done,
but gladly squeezed that one hour
between other agendas.

What is your best shoot
fighting against it?

Artsy Girl Getaway - the beginning

This is a dream
-which belong to me and many
kindred souls that helped me
to organize this event-
that really worth to hold on to.

We are going to have
an unforgettable moments
-first time here in Indonesia-
of weaving together
a creative community,
not just for scrappers,
but for all women who knew
that art is in their blood
all along.

Only few spots left till today
after only a week
 we opened the registration online.

I am here
to light the torch.
The rest of the conduct
is in your hands, artsy girls.
Book now.
And see you at the getaway!

The art of living

I am still doing, filling, sticking
painting and journaling
my daily Starbuck 2010 journal book.
A few days ago I came across
this ad I kept from old magazines.

Love it.

Today I am letting go something,
like office's business and stuff.
And holding on to other thing,
like my sample album for class,
and a good nap.

And I love that too.

A month to play, a month to learn - THE ALBUM

Getting an album done
is pretty much like getting
recovered from flu.
(I literally just recovered
from a bad flu eventually)

You did all things you knew
to get done with this flu a.k.a
this album,like drink a lot,
sleep a lot, eat vit.C, stay out
from the kids, and no cold drinks.
For this album, I dug a lot
of my stash of word stickers,
rummaged a lot through my
almost-used-up Thickers
for the number of each day,
like these...
(oh, I love this part!)

and of course,
drink a lot, and stay out
from the kids a lot
also help to finish the album.
*grins

For the album cover....
I was so glad to find some title,
(for the words PLAY and LEARN,
which are the key words here)
furtively buried in my treasure
for oh-help-me-God I don't know
how long.

Then the other things
just serendipitously fall into place.

Inside the album were pretty much
done when the month's ended
because we filled it every day.
I already reported about it here.
So all I had to do
was sticking all the 31 pics
and the numbers for the day.

I am grateful,
Oh, dear Lord,
for these recorded gratitudes

for these lessons learned

for these stories recorded

for the simple happiness

and for the treasured moments
caught by camera

I am grateful.
For the whole month of play & learn.
For a gratifying journey
to record what is really matters.

And looking at the finished album,
just the same feeling inside
after you get recovered from flu.

Blissful.
