Love in scraps of fabrics
Outside my comfort zones with papers and glue, there are so many other zones that I would love to be engaged to, one of them is the zones of fabrics and stitches.
While I still can't be patient long enough to work a lot with my sewing machine (You know....working for 15 minutes, then something trouble with the machine and you have to fix it for another 30 minutes...Sigh), I manage to do this thing with scraps of fabrics, including fabric from my daughter old clothes that she had outgrown from.
And just last night, I finished this hanger for adding to my giveaway, which post is here.
I love to mix papers and fabrics in such way that it will be adding rich textures to my work. Just to feel the lines of different kind of scraps can make me wonder with glee.
What have you been playing with all day?
Tell me! Tell me!
So pretty!!! I love how you pulled everything together :)

I am interested in textures and have mostly been looking rather than making them. I really like the way you have layered different textures on top of each other. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Very Cute Ria!! I like all the textures and would love to win your lovely giveaway!
The sewing thing? Not too tough, just need to stick with it and have a good seam ripper to use once in a while! Sewing is on my agenda again this year. I used to make all my clothes basically. Including wedding dresses (I made 2) and even ski clothes. I'm sure there are gorgeous fabrics in your area,,find a fabric you love and an easy pattern or design idea....like pillows or simple curtains!
Thanks for stopping by my little blog! Good luck and thanks for sharing.

I love the idea that this beautiful piece is made with your daughter's recycled clothes. Fabrics have begun to interest me too lately, and now you've inspired me to give it a try!

Oh wow sweetie that is stunning!!!! I adore it in every way! The colors really pop!
As for the gel medium....don't get me started with that.....lol!!! The paper I used is super thin brown paper so just inking the edges took me ages as it ripped so easily. I actually tested a smaller piece on the board with golden matte medium and the brown paper creased even more. It was driving me crazy!!! So O ended up with two way tape and stuck it down in stages. Once everything was added to the board, you couldn't really notice the unstuck parts if you know what I mean....lol! Next time I will have to go up to Sydney (3 hours away) and get my hands on some better quality paper. Thanks for the head ups though, your a sweetie!! xo

Great work even if you're not great friends with your sewing machine. I know what you mean about stopping- I'm the same with my machine!

Your fabric work is beautiful. It sounds like your sewing machine needs a tune up. I use mine every day and rarely have a problem (I've had it for 30 years)!
