"Modern Homemaker" project - October Afternoon series
Ever since this series is out in the market,
I was definitely fall in love.
Well,
to be honest,
I always, always fall in love with
October Afternoon's series of papers
*chuckle
I kept this kit for quite some time
before finally my last class has done,
and I had this wonderful long weekend
before all other deadline pile up,
to finally lay on my hands
to this kit.
Sweet.
I found that in this series,
this paper is enchanting, yet challenging
It is a double side paper
and from the start I knew
that I want to use both side of it,
so I ordered one more piece.
Browsing through their web's gallery
and looking at many wonderful projects
using this series,
I choose to make a project
that goes beyond the 'pages only' but
I am also not too eager to make
some kind of 3D dollhouse with it.
So I was thinking to make
only two pages spread inside, bind into one,
using a chipboard backing to help it
to stand when out for display,
but to restore it I can simply
put it inside a regular 12x12 album.
This is my finished project
and welcome inside to our home...
To my habit, I am not satisfied before I add
more open up tabs, mini books, or others
to the inside spread.
And for sure, more photos can be included.
And while I still want to have more fun
with the project,
The space ended, fully loaded,
and I have to close the project album
Close it like this,
and I simply slip it to my plastic album.
Only open for display if
there is any event happen in the house,
or
when my mom-in-laws come for a visit.
*LOL
Before anyone asking,
(actually there are already two person
asked me today. LOL)
I am not going to make this project as a class.
Sorry.
The supplies are simply limited
and to tell you the truth,
I already hooked my eyes and ordered for
October Afternoon's CHA 2011 series,
5&dimes
which I guarantee to be a very fun project!
*wink
But you surely can take my project for
this "modern homemaker" series as an inspiration.
For you who have the same papers
and still have no clue what to do with it
and want to make this kind of project,
just drop me question by email or
at my fb inbox.
I will be happy to answer questions
but NOT to make instruction sheet
for making it step by step....
alright?
*giggle
