September 2009 - Life Project
Scrapbooking outside the album gives us license to pull out all the stops. And I also mean, outside all kind of mini albums that always overwhelmed us out there. Go.....stretch yourself far beyond all that pages.....and make something more dimensional. I made these bird houses this week.
Oh, if only you can imagine how much fun (and fatigue) I was having during the three days (non-stop) making these cute bird houses. The pattern is from Doodlebug Design inc. I had the kit for such a long time and didn't have the urge to make it until that one time when I saw the handmade bird houses in one mom&kid's store at Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta. If you are local and been to the place, you'll know what I talked about. That houses are beautiful, I swear I have to have them...until I saw the price...2 million rupiahs for one bird house! That's insane! I looked twice and again, but the number was correct. Boo. How impossible. Then I remembered........ I had that kind of kits at home. Aha! 
And don't forget, as much as I wish to be a real artist, whatever that would mean, I am still a business woman who happen to have to think for my more than 50 employees under my wings to survive every month. So, here they are.....I made these bird houses for sale. (I guess that will answer some of you who wonder why I made so many of them in the beginning of the post.....and for you who happen to want this bird house, you are in luck, because, yes, you can have it! ) For the first round, I made eight of the first pattern. Could you imagine if I make it one by one....it will take me forever to complete them...So, eight it is.I gave every houses words in front of them after I finished, and suddenly, the houses get some characters.
Now, get relax, grab that cup of coffee, cause I will show you the details and textures for each of the bird houses.

He picked this one even when I only put some gesso on it.
and he said,
"Mom, can you make my bird house in blue color?"
Love to, my dear, love to.)
Do you notice the A monogram at the old magazine paper that I sticked in front of this house? It's no coincidence at all. In the end when I realized that this is the one that Adam choosed and I accidentally but fortunately sticked the A in this one, just made it even special for him.
I put this post under my Life Project file for this month, since this is new for me, and I hope it will inspire you in some kind. Make anything further than your pages. You'll be free to play and give your personal touch to all the details that you cannot do on the regular pages.But, well...., if you fall in love with these bird houses, you can go (or run...) to my store Bagus Bagus at Citos, Jakarta (Cilandak Town Square), in front of Food Mart Gourmet. And don't you worry, the price will not make you cringe. Promise. I am a good business woman after all. *wink*

Weekend in the house
How cute is my girl? You will say, she is cute.
She plays inside a tent with all her doggies.
And the tent is in my living room.
This will annoys me for sure, but, not today. Today is weekend.
So I go grab my camera instead.
That's only before my boy decides to jump right in and open his tent.
So there are two tents in my living room.
And that will be all right if my living room is huge. Na a.
Really not cute. Though her smile is.
Welcome to our vet zone..........
The patients are patiently waiting outside. Be good, ladies....
"Mom, I think there is something wrong with this small doggie. I have to give her injection right away!"

The situation inside the tent :
"Mom, look at me here !!!"
Then suddenly, my husband come downstairs to watch all the huge mess in our tiny living room. He raises his eyebrows quickly and says," How can I watch my TV?" And Dea says," Ow, do you know, dad, the TV is on holiday. Just give it a rest."
How could you not laughing at that?
So I say,"Come on, daddy, it's your turn to take pictures...I have to take my doggies to the vet....they have some eyes problem....."
Could not say no to that either, right?
Do you see how much spark in Dea's eyes when I jump into the games?
And here, doctor Adam is tired. But happy.
Our weekend is always full of surprises and our tiny home is always full of possibilities. If only we look at it with fully open heart.
